Los Angeles, March 6

So I've decided that LA is pretty much the coolest city I've ever seen. By the time Kieran and I got everything sorted out it was late at night and we took the shuttle bus to the hostel in Venice Beach. This was quite a culture shock in and of itself. What K and I didn't realize is that
with such a low cost of living, hostels (in big cities) attract the absolute scum of the earth. As soon as the sun was up we got the hell out of there, it was cloudy anyway so there wasn't much action and we opted to go north to Hollywood Blvd. in the hopes for a better scene! After checking into some more fairly disturbing living accommodations we hit the town, saw the stars and had dinner at Jim Carrey's restaurant. When we took a tour the next day, our bus driver was a 27 year vet of the LAPD and had some pretty interesting stories for us! She certainly didn't have a lot of nice things to say about Britney Spears and the amount of partying or "nose candy" that encircled her little entourage. And of course I couldn't resist stopping by the famous "Whiskey A-Go-Go" and get my pic taken with The Doors star on Hollywood Blvd. The other pics are me outside the famous Chinese Theatre and Mel's Diner where they shot the movies "Grease" and "American Graffiti" The highlight would have to be when a pimp came into Jim Carrey's restaurant and got one of his "girls" to ride the bull for the whole bar! Check out the picture!
